LSO Live presents Shostakovich’s Symphonies Nos 1–15, captured over an extraordinary nine-year project with Principal Guest Conductor Gianandrea Noseda.

Spanning half a century, these works give a complete picture of the composer’s artistic evolution in Soviet Russia, where his music balanced conformity with coded defiance. Noseda offers a definitive take on these symphonies, charting the life and musical legacy of Dmitri Shostakovich.
