The
Prague Philharmonic Choir is the biggest fully-professional choir in the
Czech Republic and during its 65 years history the Prague Philharmonic
Choir (formely Czech Philharmonic Chorus) has become one of the most
renowned choirs in the world.
It has cooperated with
a big number of world famous conductors, as Kleber, Konvitschny, Böhm,
Schercher, Pedrotti, Szell, Abbado, Neumann, Maazel, Muti, Chailly,
Ozawa, Prétre, Mackerras, Rozhdestvenskij, Mehta, Sawallisch, Kubelík,
Bernstein, Baudo.
Nowadays the choir
performs regularly with the greatest orchestras, as the Berlin and
Israel Philharmonic, Concertgebouworkest Amsterdam, Wiener
Philharmoniker – and of course with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra
of which the Prague Philharmonic Choir was an intagrated body during
almost 40 years.
